Description:

CITY ACM student chapter organizes a competition of CS students using a platform that is a simulator of virtual worlds (called Mentor), followed by a workshop for anyone that wants to learn the basics of programming in an hour. The scenario of the competition is inspired from Corum, Michael Moorcock’s a fictional hero. The students control (using Java) the character (Corum) trying to achieve his mission. The competition will be in the form of a knockout tournament. Winner should have the most effective solution. A workshop follows, for anyone to attend, where Dr George Eleftherakis will introduce the basics of programming and the programming interface of Mentor and CS students will provide guidance and help to the attendees.
